Biography
Neftali Duran is originally from the state of Oaxaca in Mexico. Neftali has been a migrant worker since the age of 18 when he immigrated to the United States. Neftali is an activist in favor of the indigenous communities of Oaxaca as well as a defender of the environment. Neftali has been part of the Cooking Matters team since 2018, where his focus has been working with families on access to healthy food with an emphasis on reclaiming food as part of our culture.
