Biography

Pris Rogers serves as a co-leader at APH VisionAware, a website dedicated to providing informational services to seniors with vision loss, their families as well as healthcare providers, and social service professionals. Pris is also a founding member of the steering committee of the Aging and Vision Loss National Coalition. Additionally, she holds the position of special advisor on aging and vision loss for the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) and represents AFB on the Leadership Council of Aging Organizations. Pris earned her Master’s degree in Gerontology and her PhD in Aging and Vision Loss. In collaboration with another professor, Pris teaches a special topics course on aging and vision loss at a local university. With nearly 50 years of experience in the field, Pris has written numerous articles and books on vision and aging. She has also been a speaker at various national conferences, including Visión y Compromiso’s.
