SanaMente/Each Mind Matters: The California Mental Health Campaign

The state of California, with funding from proposal 63 established the mental health campaign: Each Mind Matters. In Spanish, it is called: “SanaMente.” SanaMente goals are to increase awareness about mental health, reduce stigma about mental health challenges, and prevent suicides. The campaign provides resources and materials for our Spanish speaking community and was created with our culture in mind. The participants will learn about the movement, the available resources and materials including the Website SanaMente.org, the resource center Each Mind Matters, and from the campaigns, “Reconozca Las Señales,” Directing Change, and “Ponte en Mis Zapatos.” Participants will have the opportunity to learn new strategies for utilizing the materials and resources.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Learn about the mental health campaign in California.
  2. Learn how access and navigate the resources and available campaign materials.
  3. Identify tools to help them use the materials and resources.
