Leticia Galicia

Leticia Galicia was born in Santa Rosa, Caxtlahuaca, Juxtlahuaca, Oaxaca. For several years, she lived in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, where she received training in special education for children and attended workshops for parents to support the community. For several years, she worked as an interpreter and teacher’s assistant at a special education school in the city of Tijuana. In 2010, she moved to Oxnard, CA, with her entire family. Currently, she works at the Community Organization Proyecto Mixteco (MICOP) as a navigator and interpreter for domestic violence prevention and intervention, as well as mental health.
